With Morrowind and Skyrim I felt like I was visiting a world (an uncaring world full of jerks, and a world waiting for me to change it, respectively). I just started oblivion the other day, having heard nothing but good stuff about it.and I feel underwhelmed. It was also the game that taught me how fun full-force roleplaying was, and began the tradition that my first hero in any ES game must be a friendly-ish thieving kahjiit (who usually winds up accidentally involved with the local assassin's guild). I tried Morrowind before, and enjoyed the heck out of it, although I eventually gave up due to clunky gameplay problems (slow run speed, combat issues, and how hard it was to find what to do or where to go at times). It was 'decent' without mods, and became incredible for me with a few additions.

Please gimme a hand, I want to love this game.Ĭontext: Skyrim was the first ES game to REALLY suck me in. TLDR: Having trouble getting immersed and need suggestion for a combat mod to make combat feel like it has more 'weight' to it.
